We have chosen to focus on PACE and opioid prevention to better align our efforts with one of the Surgeon General’s priorities (Opioids and Addiction). During our December meeting we discussed a variety of ways our chapter can get involved and have decided on a couple of options during the National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week:

1. Lead a short health education session for a classroom or group of middle school-aged students.
a. PACE training materials are linked here.
b. While this week is preferred, if there is another time that works better for your community, please feel free to run with those dates.
c. When you schedule an event, let us know so we can add the details to the event calendar on our website.

2. Participate in a Narcan train-the-trainer session.
a. If you are interested in participating, please reply to this e-mail with your physical work location and preferred dates. Bonus points if you coordinate with officers in your building.
b. After we get a sense of how many people are interested, we will get a training on the calendar.
